　　老師在教新班級時要做的第一件事就是知道所有孩子的名字。

　　我們的助教之所以會為孩子們貼上有他們自己名字的牌子SEASIDE，是為了幫助老師們認識新的班級里所有孩子的名字。

　　有人說SEASIDE，世界上最動聽的聲音就是聽別人叫出自己的名字。我覺得，這句話很有道理，尤其是對小孩子來說。知道孩子的名字會讓他們心懷感激，更集中注意力認真聽課，參與課堂活動并記住他們所學的知識。

　　而對我們老師來說，當我們表揚孩子，記住他們的名字時，他們臉上那燦爛而美麗的笑容就是對我們最大的回報。

　　在圍圈時間，我們有時會玩一些游戲，讓小孩子們熟悉自己的名字，并慢慢習慣和同學們互相進行自我介紹。

　　總之，在教新的班級時，老師應該盡快知道孩子們的名字，這樣孩子們會有一種被重視的感覺，老師也能更好地管理課堂SEASIDE！

　　The first thing that any teacher should do when getting a new class is to learn the names of all their students.

　　That’s why our teaching assistants will attach name labels to all our students to help teachers learn the names of all the students in new classes.

　　They say the sweetest word in any language is the sound of your own name. I especially think this is true of young children. Learning their name makes them appreciated and makes them more likely to be engaged in class, participate and remember the knowledge they are taught.

　　There is also a great reward for us teachers when the kids give you a bright and beautiful smile when you give praise and remember their name.

　　Sometimes we will play games at circle time to familiarize the younger children with saying their own names and getting used to introducing themselves to their fellow students.

　　All in all, learning children’s names is a great way to make children feel valued, to give the teacher more control of the classroom and should be done as soon as possible when teaching a new class!
