  新概念英語(yǔ)第二冊(cè)detectives,近期detectives我專門看detectives了一下,覺得非常適合高中銜接課程。第一,文章精美短小detectives;第二,涵蓋的生詞匯都是高中寫作必備詞匯。我私下揣摩,如果學(xué)生真能讀熟了,寫作表達(dá)絕對(duì)不會(huì)差。沒(méi)有必要追求高大上的表達(dá),第二冊(cè)的短文語(yǔ)言就是地道自然的輸出。

  我于是有個(gè)想法,把新二里面的好詞好句都拿出來(lái)講講,看看這些詞如果在高中寫作中該如何運(yùn)用,還有這些詞在高考單選或者閱讀中又會(huì)主要呈現(xiàn)哪些意思。

  當(dāng)然,初中學(xué)生可能很多都學(xué)過(guò)這本書,但是畢竟是基于中考的格局,因此我覺得你還是應(yīng)該聽聽的。

  我打算花12時(shí)講完,每個(gè)小時(shí)8篇,因此需要你提前預(yù)習(xí)一下。

  1. 副詞修飾動(dòng)詞(said rudely; look at the woman angrily)

  Be doing sth. 一般進(jìn)行時(shí)

  2. Seat --》Vt. be seated.坐下

  3. Turn round轉(zhuǎn)過(guò)身;--》(使)〔業(yè)務(wù)、部門等〕好轉(zhuǎn),扭轉(zhuǎn):

  The company turned around from losses of £1.4 million last year to profits of £26,800.

  公司由去年的虧損 140 萬(wàn)英鎊扭轉(zhuǎn)為盈利 2.68 萬(wàn)英鎊。

  3. Hear的用法

  句中的 hear 即是一種有意識(shí)的活動(dòng),意謂“聽取”。這種 hear 常用在由 let 引導(dǎo)的句子結(jié)構(gòu)中。再如:

  (1)Let me hear you say it.

  (2)Let's hear his explanation.

  此外,下面句子中的 hear 也都意謂“聽取”或“傾聽”:

  (3)I should like to hear what you have to say.

  (4)None are so deaf as those who will not hear.

  另外請(qǐng)注意 hear 還常用于聽講話、報(bào)告、音樂(lè)表演等,如:

  (5)Did you hear Peter's talk yesterday?

  (6)I'm going to hear a concert this evening.

  4. Bear

  同義詞:tolerate, stand

  1.He couldn't bear living alone.他忍受不了單獨(dú)的生活。

  2.Some people cannot bear travelling by sea.有些人忍受不了海上旅行。

  3.I can't bear to see/seeing people suffering. 我不忍看人受苦。

  [試譯]他不能忍受被人取笑。

  如同deserve, need, require, want等動(dòng)詞一樣,作“值得”解的動(dòng)詞bear之后的動(dòng)名詞的主動(dòng)形式也表示被動(dòng):

  1.Those things won't bear thinking of. 那些事情不值得去想。

  2.Your joke will bear repeating. 你的笑話令人百聽不厭。

  bear作“忍受”解時(shí)de 動(dòng)名詞的被動(dòng)形式??迹?/p>

  I can't bear being kept waiting. 我無(wú)法忍受別人叫我長(zhǎng)時(shí)間地等候。

  5. Business所關(guān)心的事

  ? that's none of your business! 這不干你的事detectives!

  ? you've no business doing that! 你無(wú)權(quán)那樣做!

  ? mind your own business! 少管閑事!

  6. Pay attention to

  反義詞:ignore

  7. conversation的用法:高考完形有:Strike up / have a conversation

  8. Private
