含義: The best.(最棒的)
造句: “That bacon sandwich I had this morning was the absolute dog’s bollocks.” (我今天早上吃的配干三明治絕對是最棒的!)
含義: A really long time.(特別長的時間)
造句: “How’s your friend Lisa from school?” “Oh, god knows. I haven’t seen her for donkey’s years.”(-thedog你的校友Lisa最近怎么樣了?-上帝才知道呢，我已經(jīng)很久沒見過她了)
含義: Are you joking?(你是在逗我嗎?)

含義: Being a third wheel (做一個電燈泡)

含義: Go to the toilet.(去廁所)

含義: sauage fest(人山人海，人滿為患)

含義:donkey’s years很長一段時間

含義:not cricket不對的，不公平的。
造句: “I can’t believe Barry left just before it was his turn to buy a round, that’s just not cricket.”
難以相信輪到Barry的時候他居然溜了。太不厚道了。
含義:see a man about a dog 去了一個神秘的地方，通常指洗手間。
造句: “Sorry, give me a minute, I’ve got to go see a man about a dog.”抱歉，等我下，我得去下洗手間。
含義:playing gooseberry充當(dāng)電燈泡 【gooseberry 鵝莓】
造句: “Oh, you’re going to the cinema with Jamie and Robin. Do you not find it weird playing gooseberry like that?”啊，你要跟著Jamie 和Robin去看電影，你不覺得這樣去當(dāng)電燈泡很奇怪嘛?
含義:Bob’s your uncle 就到(那里)了。
造句: “Take a left at the end of the road, then the second right, and Bob’s your uncle, there’s the strip club.”這條路走到盡頭左轉(zhuǎn)，然后再右轉(zhuǎn)，就到了，那個就是脫衣舞俱樂部。
